Hydrate-80 is a rust converter and barrier system for rusted steel surfaces. It works electrochemically to stabilise existing corrosion, transforming iron oxides into a protective metal complex while combining with surface moisture and oxygen so corrosion no longer has the conditions it needs.

Usage
- Mechanically remove loose flaking rust and paint with a wire brush or sanding without taking the surface back to bright metal.
- Clean off oil, grease, dirt and salt and let the surface dry.
- Shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
- Apply Hydrate-80 generously with a brush, roller or lint-free cloth, working it into the rust.
- Watch the coating react with iron oxides, turning from milky white to a dark blue or black colour, typically within about 20 to 40 minutes.
- Apply a second coat once the first has changed colour and dried, around 1 hour later; expect about 24 to 48 hours for full chemical cure.
- After full cure, overcoat with conventional primers and paints or compatible Bilt Hamber wax products for long-term protection.

사용법
- 와이어 브러시 또는 샌딩으로 들뜬 녹과 박리 도막을 제거하되 소지면까지 완전히 깎아내지는 않습니다.
- 기름, 그리스, 먼지, 염분을 제거하고 표면을 건조시킵니다.
- 사용 전 용기를 충분히 흔들어 줍니다.
- 붓, 롤러 또는 보풀 없는 천으로 녹 부위에 충분히 도포하고 녹 안쪽까지 문질러 침투시킵니다.
- 산화철과 반응해 일반적으로 약 20~40분 안에 유백색에서 짙은 청흑색으로 변하는 화학 전환을 확인합니다.
- 1차 도포분이 색이 변하고 건조된 약 1시간 후 2차 도포를 진행하며 완전 화학 경화에는 약 24~48시간이 걸립니다.
- 완전 경화 후 일반 프라이머·도료 또는 호환되는 Bilt Hamber 왁스로 상도하여 장기 방청을 보완합니다.
