사용법

  1. 와이어 브러시, 샌딩 또는 블라스팅으로 녹과 스케일, 기존 도막을 제거하고 소지면을 노출시킵니다.
  2. 적합한 용제로 표면을 충분히 탈지하고 도포 전 완전히 건조시킵니다.
  3. 무거운 아연 안료가 캔 바닥에 가라앉아 있으므로 수 분간 충분히 저어 재분산시킵니다.
  4. 브러시, 롤러 또는 스프레이로 얇고 균일하게 바르고, 갈바닉 효과 저하를 피하기 위해 과도하게 두껍게 바르지 않습니다.
  5. 코트 사이에 약 30~60분 간격을 두고 완전한 음극 보호를 위해 최소 2회 도포합니다.
  6. 일반 프라이머, 도료 또는 호환되는 Bilt Hamber 왁스로 상도하기 전에 약 24시간 동안 충분히 경화시킵니다.
  7. 바인더가 굳지 않도록 사용 직후 자일렌 또는 셀룰로스 신너로 도구를 세척합니다.

Electrox is a single-pack zinc-rich anti-corrosion coating that protects steel through both barrier and galvanic (cathodic) action. The cured film carries a high proportion of metallic zinc and applies easily by brush, conventional or airless spray, making it suited to vehicle restoration, underbody work and industrial structures.

Usage

  1. Strip the substrate back to bright metal by wire brushing, sanding or abrasive blasting to remove rust, scale and old paint.
  2. Degrease the prepared surface with a suitable solvent and let it dry fully before coating.
  3. Stir the zinc-rich material for several minutes so the heavy zinc pigment is fully redispersed from the bottom of the can.
  4. Apply thin even coats by brush, roller or spray and avoid building excessive thickness that would impair galvanic action.
  5. Wait about 30 to 60 minutes between coats and apply at least two coats for full cathodic protection.
  6. Allow about 24 hours of cure before overcoating with conventional primers, paints or compatible Bilt Hamber wax products.
  7. Clean tools straight after use with xylene or cellulose thinners to prevent the binder hardening.
