Iron Removers for Paint & Wheel Decontamination

All seven iron removers in our catalogue are pH-neutral and ready to use — IronX (pH 7.5) is the global benchmark, while D1 Iron is the only one that also dilutes (RTU ~ 1:2) for cost control.

  3. Adam's Iron Remover — pH 7, RTU — classic colour-changing formula for paint and wheels.
  4. Decon Pro Iron & Fallout Remover — pH 7, RTU — fallout removal before polishing or coating.
  5. D1 Iron — pH 7, RTU ~ 1:2 — dilute it for maintenance, full strength for heavy decon.
  6. Deiron Man — pH 7, RTU — long working time so it reacts fully without drying out; turns red on iron.
  7. Age of Iron — pH 7, RTU — iron remover and wheel cleaner in one, with extra lubrication for brush or clay work.

How to choose

Iron removers dissolve embedded brake-dust particles that washing can't touch — the colour-changing "bleeding" shows the reaction. Spray on a cool, washed surface, keep it wet for the dwell, then rinse thoroughly. It's a decon step (before polishing/coating or seasonally), not an every-wash product. FAQ

Is iron remover safe on ceramic coatings?

Yes — these are pH-neutral formulas. Keep to the label dwell time and never let the product dry on the panel.

How often should I decontaminate?

Typically 2–4 times a year, or before any polishing or coating work. Daily drivers near rail lines or heavy braking traffic may need it more often.

Why does it change colour?

The active ingredient reacts with iron particles and the dissolved complex bleeds purple-to-red (the shade varies by formula) — the visual sign the decon is working.
